2014 PERRYDALE HILLS PINOT NOIR- Last call- 3 bottle limit - $52

This was the third vintage Harper Voit has produced wine from the Perrydale Hills region in the Willametter Valley, and we are continuously happy with the result. The Dijon clones we're working with (667 and 777) are perfectly suited to the Dupee soils of this emerging region. The intense and brooding fruit quality is matched by flavor and color intensity, all nestled in a juicy mouthfeel and fine texture.

In the winery, the fruit was mostly destemmed while 5% was reserved as whole cluster, cold soaked for five days, then slowly warmed to build its yeast culture. Fermentation temperatures never peaked above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring a long, steady fermentation over the course of 21-23 days. The wine was fermented dry, racked off lees, and barreled clean to French oak. The wine stayed in barrel until racking for bottling in late August of 2014.

pH: 3.65
