Our job as winemakers is less about making wine and more about shepherding the characteristics of a particular vineyard into your bottle. We use low-intervention techniques so our wines are undiluted terroir — a vineyard in a bottle.
Take for example Antiquum Farm where we source our single vineyard Antiquum Pinot Noir. Farmed using grazing-based viticulture principles, it is a site that experiences huge temperature swings between day and night, and has shallow Bellpine soils. Drew’s winemaking acts as preservation of that Pacific-Ocean-windswept property, retaining the acidity and potency of such a unique site.
All nine Harper Voit wines should transport you to a different hillside, a different soil beneath your feet, a different breeze, and a different invisible micro-biome teeming around the vines. Our hope is that after tasting all of our wine, you’ll wonder how such different wines were created by just one team.
